Who we are
BestPest ("we," "us") operates a free service that connects homeowners with third-party pest and mosquito control companies ("Service Providers"). We are a lead-referral and matching service. We do not perform pest control services ourselves.
Information we collect
When you submit our quote form or call us, we collect the information you provide, typically your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, and a description of your pest problem.
We also automatically collect certain technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, including through cookies and similar technologies and third-party analytics and advertising tools (such as Google and Meta).
How we use and share your information (please read)
We use your information to match you with a local Service Provider and to contact you about your request.
By submitting your information, you understand and agree that we will share the information you provide (including your name and phone number) with the local pest control company we match you with, so they can contact you about your request. We do not sell your information to multiple companies or lead brokers. The Service Provider we match you with is an independent business and is responsible for its own services, pricing, and privacy practices.
We may also use your information to improve our service, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with law.
Calls and texts (your consent)
By submitting the form and checking the consent box, you provide your prior express written consent for BestPest and the Service Provider we match you with to contact you at the phone number you provide (including by automatic telephone dialing system, artificial or prerecorded voice, and SMS/text) about your request and related offers, even if your number is on a federal or state Do-Not-Call list.
Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
How to opt out
You can opt out of marketing texts at any time by replying STOP to any text message. You can ask to be placed on our internal Do-Not-Call list, or request that we no longer share your information, by calling us at the number below.
Note that the Service Provider we have already shared your information with maintains its own contact and opt-out practices; you may need to contact them directly as well.
Cookies, analytics & advertising
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (including Google and Meta) to measure site performance and to show you relevant advertising on other sites (retargeting). You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of certain interest-based advertising through industry tools such as the DAA (optout.aboutads.info) and NAI (optout.networkadvertising.org).
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
Data retention & security
We retain your information for as long as needed to provide our service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
